Open a OpenOffice-document and go to File - Send - Document as E-mail...
Now your default E-mail client comes up with a new E-mail and the OpenOffice-document with the according extension is attached.
The attachment should keep the extension of the used document.
New documents will create attachments with the extension which is set under Tools – Options... – Load/Save – Default file format.
Open the received file in the reader the OpenOffice should start and display the document.
Open a OpenOffice-Text Document and go to File – Send – E-mail as OpenDocument Text...
Now your E-mail client comes up with a new E-mail and the document with the *.odf extension is attached.
Send the E-mail to own address and check the received attachment.
Open a OpenOffice-Text Document and go to File – Send – E-mail as Microsoft Word...
Now your E-mail client comes up with a new E-mail and the MS-Word document is attached.
Send the E-mail to own address and check the received attachment.
Open it with MS-Word and after that, import it to OpenOffice.
Signed documents and documents with password are not supported.
Open a OpenOffice-Spreadsheet document and go to File – Send – E-mail as OpenDocument Spreadsheet...

NOTE: OOo – Drawing will not supported for export to
PowerPoint format!!!
For Drawing it is possible to attach as
original *.odg- or as PDF-Format.
The test should proceed in all cases with a new, unmodified and modified document.
