Description Unknown 2003-01-02 20:19:33 UTC
OpenOffice.org 1.0.1 Slovenian version

During install, when selecting the install directory,
the "Create directory" button ( "Ustvari imenik" in slovene ) is not working.
Nothing happens when I click on it.

I can't reproduce. When I type in a foldername in the upper textbox
and then I click on this button, the folders was created.

I expected a dialog to pop up, where I could make a new directory.

The current beahviour ( judging from your description; I did not try
it out yet ) is unnecessary, IMHO. If the entered directory tree does
not exists, then it should be created when the user clicks OK. Maybe
a question should pop up if it should create that directory with
YES/NO answer, like in most other installers, altough I think that
the question is not needed and it should just create the dir without
asking.

'Not working' and 'Not working as expected' is quite different. So
it's not defect, it's an 'enhancement' or better 'ease of use'.

Hi Bettina,
I think that this dialog is working correct. Please have a look and
decide.

I think that the "Create directory" button can be removed, because
when you type non-existent directory and hit OK button, you'll be
asked for confirmation of creation of non-existent directory.

David is right, the "Create directory" button behaviour is not so
intuitive. From my point of view, this button:

  o should be removed
o popup window for directory name should apper

We use MSI for OOo now. We don't change the old installer for OOo 1.x.x
Comment 8 Olaf Felka 2007-01-08 12:11:06 UTC
No changes for OOo 1.x
