I can reproduce the defect that on importing the given sample Microsoft PowerPoint document the shapes are not correctly imported.

I reproduced this import defect on Windows 7 in OOo 3.0.0, OOo 3.3.0 and AOO 4.0.1

The root cause seems to be that the ellipse shape and the table shape are grouped.

The given snapshot must be a screenshot from Microsoft PowerPoint.

yes,the image is a snapshot when the file is opened in ms office.
if open it in AOO,the ellipse in group will be missing  and displayed as a
gray rectangle.
