The following URL describes the standard format for the South African locale: http://www.123hostnow.com/articles/LCID.asp?LCID=7177#SHOW DL->ER: Could you please takeover? Accepted. i18npool/source/localedata/data/en_ZA.xml simply references en_US values and only overrides currency. Fixed on branch cws_srx645_pp3calc: i18npool/source/localedata/data/en_ZA.xml 1.3.142.1 Had to reverse dependencies for linkage reasons, af_ZA partly references en_ZA now, and hopefully got the data and references right now (were always wrong in en_ZA), latest fixes on cws_srx645_pp3calc: i18npool/source/localedata/data/af_ZA.xml 1.5.100.2 i18npool/source/localedata/data/en_ZA.xml 1.3.142.3 reassigned to qa reset resolution to fixed verified in internal build cws_pp3calc . Found integrated on Windows, Linux and Solaris Created attachment 70532 Created attachment 71301 Created attachment 71360 The correct date format for South Africa is YYYY-MM-DD, though DD-MM-YYYY is also commonly used. YYY/MM/DD is wrong. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Date_and_time_notation_in_South_Africa Please reopen this bug. Correction to above comment. Meant to say "though DD/MM/YYYY is also commonly used" (In reply to dcarterza from comment #15) > Correction to above comment. Meant to say "though DD/MM/YYYY is also > commonly used" Granted. The Wikipedia account is not authoritative but it is definitely clear. (Aside to folks who confirm/explore this: Please note that the presentation of the date in the cell to the user is not the same as how the date is stored in the document file. People looking at this defect need to be clear that this is about formatting the presentation of the cell and the editing of input values into the cell. This also means that when the file is interchanged between users operating with different locales there can be deviations in the observed presentation and recognized formats depending on various factors.) (In reply to dcarterza from comment #15) > Correction to above comment. Meant to say "though DD/MM/YYYY is also > commonly used" I am making this unconfirmed to invite clear confirmation of this. Please update the version of Apache OpenOffice "Latest Confirmation In" entry and also the specific platform used. (resetting obsolete Assigned To and QA Contact South Africa adopted ISO 8601. https://store.sabs.co.za/catalog/product/view/id/216987/s/sans-8601-2009-ed-2-00/ (The description should be sufficient) |
