I can confirm that with all 680m versions. There are 2 general problems with the new UI design, that the preview in the "slide pane" (or "page pane" in DRAW) is too slow: 1. If you have slides containing big linked images, OOo needs too much time to create the preview images (even with Athlon 3200+ iGB). But that is no problem in the example. 2. Scrolling in the "drag and drop mode" for moving slides works to slow and bucking. Same problem in DRAW. I changed subcomponent to UI, because that seems to be the more applicable one. Reproducible. The performance problems, make the usability problems of the slide sorter. actually slide sorter is a good things, but when it is super slow, it become unusable. and make another problems. since 2005, no new things. I hope this can get more attentions. since manye people complains about the OOo performance. Thanks Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org". |
