Reassigned to ES.
Comment 3 Regina Henschel 2005-10-12 10:47:05 UTC
Curious. Document crashes OOo1.1.4 immediatly when I click on it in file open
dialog (WinXP), crashreport was send. Document opens fine in SO7patch5. Document
opens with the mentioned error message in German OOo1.9.125, but content is wrong.
Comment 4 Regina Henschel 2005-10-12 10:50:47 UTC
When I save the document in SO7 without any changes, it opens fine in OOo1.9.125
too.
Comment 5 skelem 2005-10-12 14:21:56 UTC
1. Is there a tool that can validate the .sxw file or the xml files that are inside?
2. Isn't there a better error message than "General Error"?
3. Is there a debug mode for loading files?

Thanks,
Steve

I'm attaching a smaller version of the previous file.
This one causes RC3 to hang during loading.

ES->FLR: one for your free time ;)
1) yes, "General Error" opening attached file in m156
2) no error message on reloading file (Fle - Reload)
3) yes crashes OOo 1.1.4 (allow me to say "who cares?" while OOo 1.1.5 opens it
fine)
4) Opening the file (sxw) in m156 shows one page with one column (Default page
style untouched) but opening it in OOo 1.1.5 shows the Default page style with 2
columns... maybe a hint?
5) there is a bunch of hidden frames (Frame2, 4, 6 and 8) which cannot be shown
switching to existing page styles.
