UHE->FT: Please have a look, thanks ! correcting target. 1.1 Beta does not make sense for a feature request which has not even been evaluated. This is not as easy as you think: We have to take in consideration: a) various OS (ALT does not work in most cases under Unix WM) b) Ease-of-Use for migration from other office suites c) Legacy users that are accustomed to shortcuts d) Accessibilty,. Everything(!!) must be accessible through short cuts and there are not that many of them closed It is as easy, as I think, so I'll have a more detailed description of the feature here: If you start to reconfigure the key bindings, you have to assign the shortcuts in every single module. It would be easier to have a "cascading assignment". Thus - instead of assigning the key binding in writer, in calc, in draw, in ... - it would be great to say "Let's bind Ctrl+Y to 'Repeat'"; and it's done in all key bindings. So I don't understand your points a) to d) as they do not oppose the idea I tried to explain here. Be able to group key bindings of similar actions within Categories of Keyboard Configuration dialogue. Example: If you start to reconfigure the key bindings, you have to assign the shortcuts in every single module. It would be easier to have a "cascading assignment". Thus - instead of assigning the key binding in writer, in calc, in draw, in ... - it would be great to say "Let's bind Ctrl+Y to 'Repeat'"; and it's done in all key bindings. Started Started To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements". |
