Open a new impress and insert two animated gifs . Group them and strat the
presentation: the gifs do not run anymore.

This issue is due to the slideshow reimplementation (i.e. broken since 2.0).

Make a new presentation. Insert a GIF file using INSERT->PICTURE->FROM FILE.

Then use INSERT->ANIMATED IMAGE, click on the newly inserted GIF file, and press
'create'.

The result is nice unless you want to run the slide show. Then the animated GIF
does not show up at all.

Reproduced with OpenOffice 2.4.1 on Ubuntu 8.04.
My animated gifs are animated in presentation mode before grouping and are not
animated in presentation mode after grouping with a static png, but are still
animated in edit mode.

Animated GIFs inside groups still don't work (=don't move) in presentation mode
in OOo 3.1.1 (WinXP). They work totally fine in normal mode. And the same
animated gifs work totally fine when you ungroup them.

Maybe this 3 year old bug gets eventually fixed in OO3.2 ?

This still happens with OO 3.2.0. (final release version) under WinXP and Ubuntu.
