Description fredrik.haegg 2006-08-14 09:48:21 UTC
Presentation: Write something in the Normal-view.
Change to Outline-view, do some changes,
change back to Normal-View,

and now, you suddenly change your mind about the
changes you did in the Outline-view, goes back and
tries to change them... but... no "redo"-option... : (

Expected the redo to work also after changing the views.

Duno if this ever has worked...

This problem seems only to occur with outline-view.

The description is not correct, as soon as you only change the document but
don't use the undo feature, you have nothing you can redo. So having no redo
while only following your description is valid.

I assume by 'redo' you mean 'undo'

It is a long lasting implementation detail that in an outline view you can only
undo what you edited in the outline view. As soon as you leave the outline view
you can still undo it but while you are inside the outline view you can only
undo what you changed in the current session of the outline view. We had this
behaviour since the beginning of time. The only changes are that starting with
2.0 and later patches we have a more robust and working undo for the outline view.

To enable undo in the outline view from previous views we would have to do huge
changes in the outline view. This has currently no priority and since this is
also no regression I change the target to OOo later
