Description jogi 2007-04-26 10:38:53 UTC
in Line 26 you can read that "Leaving the 3D View dialog with OK-button makes
the changes permanent" but that isn't true. If you enter -180 (X rotation),180
(Y rotation) and 100 (Z rotation) and press OK on a 3D chart ("realistic"). If
you open with Format / 3D View the dialog again you see 0,0,-80 (X-, Y-,
Z-rotation).

- For A11Y a hard work because they won't be able also in the new chart to
create a chart with values they can verify.
- Usability is very unimpressive because the expectation differs totaly from
that dialogs in the rest of the office application.
+ The view seems to be the same with the destroyed values in the dialog.

added keywords
Comment 2 IngridvdM 2007-04-26 12:58:50 UTC
As one issue should concentrate on one problem only I handle the difference of
specification and implementation here and adjusted the keywords accordingly.
After discussion with mmp I updated the specification thus it now explicitly
allows the change of the angles after closing with OK and reopening the dialog (
see section 4.1.1 Note about the concrete angle values ). This is necessary as
the ODF Fileformat does not allow to save the three angles separately. Instead
only a resulting matrix can be stored. If the angles are recalculated from the
matrix the solution is not unique, but the resulting visible rotation is the same.

Read "4.1.1 Note about the concrete angle values
From the three angles a transformation matrix is calculated and stored. When
recalculting angles from the matrix the solution is not unique, thus it can
happen that you get different values for each of the angles when reopening the
dialog. But the resulting transformation will have the same visible effect."

OK
