Hi,
As per design, formatting and drawings are not supported in shared mode. But,
this is a major roadblock for us. I want to add this as enhancement request so
that it can be looked into in future releases. Global styles, local styles or
data styles are not supported now.

reassigning features and enhancements to user requirements@openoffice.org which
will be the default owner for those tasks (was introduced some time ago)
