Options -> Colors needs buttons to load a color palette

When editing an actual object in a document, i.e. a rect on a drawing, you can
go to the area property, color and there are buttons to load/save a color palette.

This option would make sence in the global Options -> colors dialog.

I'd like to be able to define (load) a color palette that is used in all
applications

Please have a look at Issue 11098 and at Issue 27722, not the same but related.

I am confirming, that this does not currently exist.

I think this is a very good idea. Right now the only way to change the palette
is to draw an object and then edit the colors within those context menus.

So for instance, I want to set the background of a calc cell. I want to use
something from sun-color.soc palette. I have to draw a rectangle, change the
palette there and then change the cell background.

Additionally, the loaded palette does not transfer between components. So, if I
load the sun-color.soc palette in calc, writer is still in the standard.soc
palette. Which I guess doesn't really matter.

The problem I guess I see now after typing is that if you change the palette in
Tools > Options then every other component will change also which may not be the
desired functions. What a better solution might be would be to always include
the load/save palette options anytime color can be changed. This would be a step
in the right directions. Or add the color palette options to each sub components
options.

This is a very much more complex issue then I first thought.

is seems strange to have to create a shape to set a colour list - I suggest
moving the colour options into component options

I have closed 27722, for to focus on 1 issue. But the request here should not
persists in Tools - Options, because the palettes are a per document setting.
(If the work on issue 20127, is restarted, it should consider this request.
Issue 20127 dealed with redesign of Tools-Options to distingush between general
and per document settings.)

To manage the many suggestions for enhancing the color palette, I have created a
meta-issue here:
Issue 105642 - Re-design and UI improvements for color palettes (meta-issue)

The purpose of the new issue is for management only, it does not duplicate
specific design requests (that we wish to capture).

Many thanks,
Andrew
