Description avnerus 2009-04-14 17:05:21 UTC
In OpenOffice 3.1RC1 (m9 build 9396) on Leopard I'm unable to switch the
keyboard layout using Cmd+Space.
This issued appeared before (#88582) but was fixed. It is working fine in
OpenOffice 3.01 (OOO300m15 Build 9379).
I have looked at the keyboard shortcuts (using Tools->Customize) and it seems
that Cmd+Space is listed but not mapped to anything. Same for OpenOffice 3.01
except that in 3.01 it is not captured and I can switch Languages.
Thank You.

@TM: Please take a look. Thanks.

@HDU: Reassigning to you during PL's vacation.
Issue 88582 has fixed this and we have here a regression.
Comment 3 eric.savary 2009-04-15 16:23:02 UTC
Retargetting 3.1 waiting for showstopper acceptance or not.
Comment 4 hdu@apache.org 2009-04-16 08:12:52 UTC
@es: have you checked which version introduced the regression? that would help a lot
Comment 5 hdu@apache.org 2009-04-16 08:46:35 UTC
Checking the SCM logs the change that might have introduced the regression was in trunk@265843,
which was released as milestone in early January...
Comment 6 eric.savary 2009-04-16 09:25:27 UTC
@HDU: Sorry I didn't iterate. Just tried also a 310m1 which was already broken.
Comment 7 hdu@apache.org 2009-04-16 10:50:17 UTC
Reverting commit (r264119) "#i90083# improve key event dispatching" could solve the problem but it
would reintroduce issue 90083. I think it is too much risk to change anything in that area as non-author
of that code so shortly before a release. Especially since the problem was not noticed for a couple of
months. Getting to know the foreign code better then the original author takes a bit longer than one
workday, so I suggest to wait for PL's return on monday.

@es,hdu: You DO know, that you have to enable IM switching with Cmd-Space in the
keyboard settings ? With a freshly installed OOO310m10 switching the IM works
out of the box for me.
Comment 9 philipp.lohmann 2009-04-20 13:12:41 UTC
Can reproduce the problem in m9 however. Still looking what could have made that
difference.
Comment 10 hdu@apache.org 2009-04-20 13:15:56 UTC
Doesn't work in OOO310_m9 but ok in OOO310_m10, strange.
Anyway, welcome back! Reassigning.
Comment 11 philipp.lohmann 2009-04-20 13:20:35 UTC
forget what I said, the version I actually ran was a 3.0.1 not a 310. Dummy me.
Comment 12 philipp.lohmann 2009-04-20 16:36:45 UTC
fixed in CWS ooo31gsl10
Comment 13 philipp.lohmann 2009-04-20 17:11:15 UTC
please verify in CWS ooo31gsl10
Comment 14 stefan.baltzer 2009-04-21 11:49:53 UTC
