Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 102319
Inserting multiple subdocuments in a master document broken
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:44:00 UTC
On OpenOffice/BrOffice 2.4.0, we can insert multiple subdocuments on a master document (odm) at once. Just browse via Windows Explorer, select multiple odt files, click ok and voila, all files are listed on the navigator. The same is not possible since version 3.0.0 since the multiple files selected will not be correctly inserted (red color, kind of path error). We need to insert one by one. On a very large Master Document, with a lot of related subdocuments, this seems to be a regression.

@ealvim, Workaround: - "Tools - Options - OpenOffice.org - General" - choose "Use OpenOffice.org dialogs" @OS: it seems that inserting multiple document in a master document is broken since 3.0 when using the system dialog (tested on Windows)
->cd: es checked it on Vista. It works on XP.
This issue is also occurring with Gnome (Solaris and Linux), therefore adjusting platform and system. Regarding the statement from OS I've set the keyword "regression".
cd: Fixed. Several issues regarding the Vista file picker and how the broken interface was used. Now the sfx2 filedlghelper class uses the correct interface to retrieve the selected files from Vista and Gnome system file picker.
cd: Set target milestone to OOo 3.2.
cd->sba: Please verify.
Verified in CWS filepicker01 on Windows Vista and OpenSuse 11 (with Gnome). Multi-selection for inserting several files at once now works with the system dialogs.
OK in OOO320_m8. Closed.
