A much simple test document. The problem comes from the fact that the picture is anchored to a collapsed paragraph (26.00 KB, application/msword)

Can reproduce it in OOo3.0.1 (OOo300m15) on WinXP and Ubuntu

Download the attachment and open it with OOo, crash

MRU->HBRINKM: crash did not occur in OOo 3.0.0. This should be fixed quite in
time - there are already 43 records for this crash report.

The attached patch is  solving the issue by removing the magic on import for the
collapsed paragraphs and implementing the collapsed paragraphs in Writer. A
compatibility flag is also set for ODF files.
