Description cno 2009-11-09 12:27:53 UTC
- open document with some formatting of styles and mail merge fields
- do the mail merge (Tools|Mail merge wizard, jump to step 8)
- send via mail or save as (one) document
 > formatting is partly lost in mails and in document
Writer falls back to default attributes, where the attribute is not explicitely set.

This worked OK in 3.1.1

Also, when using a file from 3.1.1, the backgound color of a table cell is lost
with merging in 320m3
This effect is not seen when the document is created in 320m3.

see attachments.
If needed, I can provide the .odb and .ods behind it as well, but seems not so
critical to me.

Was OK in 3.1.1 > regression

Probably affects many mailmerge actions?
Comment 4 cno 2009-11-12 14:38:30 UTC
when the merge is done via Ctrl-P, Yes, .... the formatting remains OK
but when it is done via the Wizard, styles are changed.

I also tested with a document based on a custom template > same defect.
So this will for sure be a problem for many people

Confirmed and definitely a regression.
You can see the difference also between step 6 and step 7
