Description jimmypants 2009-11-29 08:48:01 UTC
Control formatting for database forms has dead-ends and is unorganized.

First area of problems...
I used a wizard to pre-format the controls, but this preformatting cannot be
reproduced manually. Once the wizard formatting is changed, it cannot be
restored to look like the wizard's product. Other formatting features are
unpredictably available or not available depending upon complex constraints.

Affected features include (but not limited to):

1) Text box background colors (not even the same list of colors as the wizard!)
2) Text box background scheme: Wizard correctly fills text box only, and not
the label outside it. However, manual editing has a bug that causes label text
to also receive color background. Looks horrible.
3) Alignment
4) Border

Second area of problems...

Labels for field text boxes get cut off even though there should be plenty of
room. Algorithms (both vertical and horizontal) are absolutely poor.

Please make it possible to specify the width of each half of the field text
boxes so that the labels do not get cut off and so that the text boxes can be
made smaller compared to label width.

Alrighty, thanks!
