Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 107336
drawing object layered incorrectly when copy/paste into text frame
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:19:52 UTC
Graphics anchored to text will normally copy/paste to/from the clipboard along with the text. In this case, the text is copied, but some graphics anchored to it may be lost when the text is copied into a text frame, depending on how/where the graphic is anchored and positioned. Copy/paste the same text+graphics into a table works as expected. See the attached document for an example. Same behavior seen in 2.4.2, 3.1.1 and OOO320_m6.

The difference between the line and the arrow is, that the arrow is arranged to "background". If you bring the arrow to foreground, it will be copied as the line. I do not know, if it is a bug, that the background arrow is not pasted into the frame. I've tested it with DEV300 m65 on WinXp.
Ahh, yes. Of course. Thanks for having a look. I was convinced it was missing because I couldn't see it, and I never thoroughly checked whether it was really missing or not. The arrow is indeed still there; I can select it with a rubber band using the graphics cursor, and I can get the arrow to "peek out" from behind the frame just by raising its position a bit. So no bug, I think. Please close.
MRU->OD: the "arrow" object is ordered "in background". But when pasting it into a text frame it should not be arranged behind the frame.
