Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 108930
bad frame position after reloading using style marginalia
Last modified: 2010-02-04 13:56:38 UTC
Frames edited in OOo 3.2 RC versions lost their positions after reloading. See the attached pictures and the test file (created by OOo 3.2). In OOo 3.1, the frames of the test file have correct margin positions, but not in OOo 3.2. (Interesting, saving the test file in OOo 3.1, it will be correct in OOo 3.2, too.)

It seems, it is related to the closed issue 104937.
Priority: P2 (like the issue 104937).
I cannot confirm the problem with OOO 3.2RC5 on linux. - open the example (wxx.odt) - move one fo the frames to the right (using mouse) like shown in before.png - save, close and reload -> frame is still in the correct position can you test with latest milestone and if the error still exists, please attach a screenshot of a frame's type dialog (showing anchor type, postioning etc.)
andreschnabel: The problem is related to the frame styles, not to the manual formatting. Use the frame style "Marginalia" on the frames again, and test saving/loading.
confirmed. but to me it seems as if the frame style "Marginalia" is broken in this document. - Load the document, - apply style "Marginalia" to one of the frames - save, close reopen -> frame is misplaced. This happens with OOo 3.2RC5 but also with 3.0.1 (so no regression) If I apply the style to a frame, then create a new style from this frame, the frame position will be ok after save/reload. I was also not able to create such a broken style from scratch. If you are able to creat such broken style from scratch, please give a step-by-step description (in this case we should raise prio again).
Same root cause as issue 56308. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 56308 ***
Closing duplicate.
Really, I have created the modified Marginalia style in the English OOo 3.1.1, and the problem occured in an OOo version with non-English GUI. So I have to create a new frame style for the normal work instead of using the default Marginalia. Thanks for the test and the quick solution.
