Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 110127
new shortcut for style via Tools|Customize does not work in current document immediately
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:22:29 UTC
"New shortcut for style via Tools|Customize does not work in current document immediately" On Ubuntu 9.10 Steps: - create Writer document with some text - Tools|Customize - Ctrl-Alt-9 - choose character style strong Emphasis - choose Modify, OK - in document, set focus in a word and hit Ctrl-Alt-9 > nothing happens - start document with some text - set focus in a word and hit Ctrl-Alt-9 > now the style is applied. When the first document is saved, closed and opened again, the shortcut can be used there as well.
is still a problem with DEV300m80 on Ubuntu Same effect in a different form: Create shortcut for style. Close window. Shortcut does not work. Close and open OpenOffice.org > shortcut does work.
is still a problem with DEV300m81 on Ubuntu
TM->CD: please take over.
FYI: I suggested this as showstopper for 3.3.0 maybe a side effect of work on the config-layer?
cd: From my point of view this is not related to the changes made on the Office configuration. cd: This is a defect but it's definitely not a regression within OOo 3.3. A completely new implementation for keyboard shortcuts was implemented for OOo 3.1. It looks like that the notification part has not been added. Due to the risk and effort I cannot recommend to handle this issue as a show stopper. The missing function must be implemented as an enhancement and OOo 3.4 is, from my point of view, the best target.
In OpenOffice.org 3.2.1 assigning as shortcut does work immediately. So it definitely is a regression from 3.2.1
Adjusted target
cd: Fixed. Cor is right that this issue is related to the changes made in the configuration manager. I had to adapt three different parts to fix the issue. Due to a little different behavior while notifying changes one could see this regression.
cd->tm: Please verify.
still reproducible in cws fwk151
reassigned
cd: Looks like a strange timing problem to me. Sometimes it works and sometimes not.
cd: Fixed.
checked and verified in cws fwk153 -> OK !
