Description rod 2011-06-18 11:06:03 UTC
Within the file menu of the text document I have my default printer (Canon IP4300) set to double sided printing. However, the document won't print double sided without changing the settings each time in the print dialogue box.

When the print button is clicked it brings up a print dialogue box which has a 'Properties' button for the printer settings. Within this the duplex setting is not selected, even though it is set as default in the printer settings.

However, by selecting duplex within this dialogue box it will then print that document correctly but as soon as the document is closed it loses the setting.

Previous versions have always retained the settings when the document is closed.

I am having the same problem with my HP 8000 printer.(Won't hold settings; have to reset for each printing job -- even then, it doesn't always print correctly). It started right after I down loaded Picasa 3. Prior to that I wasn't having any trouble.
