Description Clinton Hammond 2012-02-09 05:54:48 UTC
I've created a template (I use it as a lyric sheet)

A Landscape document... 0.5cm borders.... 2 columns... 3cm divider.

I open the template... I put desired txt into it... I save is as an rtf (as is my wont)

When, later I reopen this document, the borders have reverted to (I'm assuming) some kind of "default"... the divider between the columns is no longer 3cm

This invariably jumbles my txt beyond usefulness.

Help?

I confirmed that I can reproudce this bug against dev snapshot Rev. 1240836.

But when saving the customized tempalte to rtf, one remind dialog pop-up asking user that the format may not be kept. So I agree this is one AOO 3.4 rtf filter problem but seems the severity is not so high, do you agree?

I can not reproduce the described defect in AOO 3.4.1 under my Windows 7.

I did the following:
- new text document
- adjusting the Page Style "Default" to the given properties (borders, columns, ...)
- save as "ODF Text Document Template *.ott"
- closing the document
- open the saved template
--> new text document
- insert some text
- save as "Rich Text Format *.rtf"
- closing the document
- open the saved document
--> borders, columns, ... are correct.

@Clinton Hammond:
Please provide more information in order to reproduce the defect. Thx in advance.

So, what kind of more info? My original post states pretty clearly my case, I think....

Thanks for your response.
Yes, your description is clear.
I tried to perform the steps from my point of view and I could not reproduce the defect.
Thus, my request for information was more or less intended to get information from you about my steps.
Did I performed the correct steps to reproduce the defect?
Is there something missing or wrong?
Beside this:
Are you still using "OOo 3.3 RC 10"?

Thanks in advance for your help.
