Table rows in particular .html document missing in 'Print Layout'

Created attachment 79588 [details] example file Apache Open Office 3.4.1 Final (AOO341m1 Build: 9593 Rev. 1372282) Russian UI/Locale on Russian Windows XP Professional SP3 (32bit) We have htm file with sections: File, Edit, Folder, View, Extras, DOS Prompt (if we open it in browser, for example, in Google Chrome). If we try to open file in AOO Writer then we see only two sections File and Edit (information in "Edit" section is incomplete), other sections are missed. The same problem occurs in Libre Office Writer 3.6.1.2 (Final) If we even try to open that file in Calc (from AOO or LibO) then we see all information.
I was unable to replicate this bug using AOO 3.4.1 (AOO341m1 Build: 9593 Rev: 1372282) on a Windows 7 Professional 64 bit SP1 and on XP Professional 32 bit SP3 (English). Attempted replication procedures for both systems were as follows: 1) Open supplied htm file using Google Chrome to verify contents. 2) Open writer 3) Open document and load htm file 4) verify if any information is missing 5) Close and restart AOO 6) Load file again and verify 7) Repeat steps 3 through 6 using Calc, Draw, and Impress.
I do not know how it happened, but now I also was unable to replicate this bug in AOO 3.4.1. Think I just got confused in AOO and LibO.
Therefore closed.
I found problem - by default if we try to open .htm file with context menu from Windows Explorer - it is opened in Print Layout view mode. In such case we see not all info. If we toggle to Web page view mode or do the folowing steps - start AOO, open .htm with Open dialog (in such case document is opened in Web page view mode) - we see all info. That was the problem. So, we have problem, but it is slight different.
Created attachment 81542 [details] Bug screenshot OpenOffice 4 and MS Word 2007 I was able to reproduce this on OpenOffice 4.0.0 on my Win 7 machine. Steps to recreate this bug: 1) Download the original attachment (Example 22.htm) on your desktop 2) Open this file in OpenOffice 3) Go to View and select Web layout. The top title bar should reflect this to show "Example 22.htm - OpenOffice Writer/Web" 4) BUG: The contents of the html file are lost from page 2 onwards. See attached screenshot. I have also added a screenshot on how this behaves (correctly) in MS Word 2007. Finally, you can view this html file in a browser for reference.
I'm working with OpenOffice 4.0.0 AOOm1(Build9700), Windows 7. Nahata22 tells me he is working on AOOm3(Build9702). Because there are some replicability questions, I will be very explicit about my replication. 1) I download Example22.htm from this bug report to my desktop. 2) Rightclick on the file name. This brings up the context menu 3) Select: Open with OpenOffice Writer 4) OpenOffice Writer opens in Print layout. I see some text in black against an orange background. I can tell this is Print layout because the icon in the View menu is larger beside Print layout than Web. 5) On the first page of the document, I see "hotkeys". This time, "hotkeys" is in the middle of the page. Another time, it was at the top. As I scroll down, I see that the entire page is blank except for "Hotkeys". 6) The next page starts with "File". I see carriage-return symbols beside the text, but can turn that off by turning off non-printing characters. The File page shows a table, black text against an orange background with white cell borders. There are two columns. As I scroll the page, I see another main entry, the "Edit" section, with a few rows in the table below that. Then a pagebreak, then there is an empty third page (2 carriage-return). 7) I click on the web layout. To do this I go to View|Web layout and the icon sizes change. The text formatting changes somewhat. Now it looks like the screen shot shown in the file "Bug screenshot OpenOffice 4 and MS Word 2007". The pages all seem to be there, the text is formatted better, but it is still all black text against an orange background with white borders around the cells. 8. Close the file in OOo. 9) I left-click on the Example22.htm. This displays it in Internet Explorer 10.09 (the default browser on my machine). That layout shows a top line ("hotkeys") in black text on orange but everything else is black text against a white background, with black cell boundaries. The formatting looks tidier. It thus appears that the formatting in both Print layout and Web layout is incorrect, but worse in Print layout.
Also, in both print layout and in web layout, I see only "Example 22.htm - OpenOffice Writer" on the top of the OOo window. I never see "OpenOffice Writer/Web" in either view.
I limit this report to 1 clearly recognized and reproducible problem. Missing table rows problem in Print Layout: Still Reproducible with "AOO 4.1.0-Dev – English UI / German locale - [AOO410m1(Build:9750) - Rev. 1523968 - 2013-09-18]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", own separate user profile. (This version is missing in " Latest Confirmation on: " Additional information: a) That worked fine in OOo 1.1.5, ... OOo 2.0.2 b) Already reproducible with OOo 3.1.1, so inherited REGRESSIOEN c) For the orange background problem I will submit a separate Bug
