Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 124634
CRASH / hang when quit particular.xls
Last modified: 2014-05-08 12:31:32 UTC
Steps how to reproduce Reproducible with server installation of "AOO 4.1.0-dev – English UI / German locale - [AOO410m14(Build:9760) - Rev. 1583418_2014-04-02]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", own separate user profile: 1. open attached "Sample003_AOO410.ods" 2. Save as "Sample003_AOO410.xls", confirm all messages (will take 1/2 minute) 3. optional: 'change Sheet2.H2 to "1" -> Undo' to test whether everything is ok > works fine, AOO does not hang yet 4. Click Window top right "Close-X" to leave unchanged document Expected: Document view vanishes after few moments Actual: AOO Hangs, is unresponding with maximum CPU load for 1 processor core
Already Reproducible with "AOO 4.0.1 Release – German UI / German locale [AOO401m5(Build:9714) - Rev. 1524958 2013-09-20 11:40:29]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", “historic” 4.0 User Profile used for all predecessor versions. Was ok with sever installation of "OOo 3.3.0 English UI / German locale [OOO330m20 (Build 9567)]" on WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) DE, so regression! Please download sample document here: <http://www.bielefeldundbuss.de/OOO_QA/Sample003_AOO410.ods>
Can not reproduce AOO410m14(Build:9760) - Rev. 1585624 2014-04-08_04:11:10 - Rev. 1585644 Debian
Confirmed under Windows XP Pro x86 en_US SP3 using AOO 4.1.0 This shows a very serious problem: the file is saved as XLS and it warns that lines above 2^16 will not be saved because it's an XLS limitation. However, because the file is not reloaded after save, the full 100.000 lines of data are still there and the spreadsheet shows 2^20 lines IMO the file should be reloaded after save.
CONFIRMED due to comment 3
