Description openoffice 2015-09-06 09:26:49 UTC
I would like OpenOffice to have an image compressor like Libre Office. Sometimes I need to switch to libre office to make a document from 40mb tot 8mb with the image compression from libre office for making a document workable again.

Thank you for open office and all the people that are working towards the ideal office program!

Already reported

You can try PixCompress.
http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/fr/project/PixCompress
This extension compress embedded pictures in your Writer documents.

I tried Pixcompress, yeah and no. It works but not the way I would like to work with it. You can not adjust the resolution.

Could you implement the function in Open Office like 'image compress' in libre office? This function pixcompress works, but it is an antiquated version of the image compressor that is present in Libre Office.

Oh sorry, it does not work!
It makes the original file of 10mb(compressed by libre office) to 48mb!! wow.

The original file size was 40 mb!

Could you please implement this libre office function in Open Office,

thank you for open office!

Upload this document to an external web host like Mediafire.
I'm curious to see this behaviour.
