Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 127960
On opening a document with tables, entire table sections are missing.
Last modified: 2018-12-13 08:13:08 UTC
On opening a .doc file containing a few tables in Open Office writer version 4.1.6, the lower tables were absent (in this case the Details and Payment Terms sections of the invoice template attached). I opened several files with the same problem - all containing important invoice data. They were all fine when previously edited and viewed in version 4.1.5. Resolved by rolling back to version 4.1.5 This makes 4.1.6 unusable in my opinion. This is probably not the same as issue 72113 (which I have experienced when moving files between machines).
Created attachment 86571 [details] Invoice example. Details and Payment Terms sections missing in 4.1.6 Previous example attachment does not seem to have uploaded.

Comment on attachment 86571 [details] Invoice example. Details and Payment Terms sections missing in 4.1.6 The attachment is a template for the files that had a defective view in 4.1.6 The actual viewed files should have also contained payment data within the missing sections.
Can confirm on Linux. Same file has described sections on 4.1.5 and missing them on 4.1.6
The document structure is as follows. We have 5 ungrouped frames Headed Invoice. These appear in the Navigation pane to. These Objects are seen in 4.1.5 and 4.1.6. Then there are 2 grouped objects not showing up in 4.1.6. However in 4.1.5 they show up but are not listed in the Navigation pane. This is not as it supposed to be.
Easy to reproduce in AOO 4.1.6 and 4.2 dev: Open a new Writer document Draw two objects e.g. rectangles Group both objects Save as .doc Close .doc Reopen .doc There are no objects. Save the file as .odt Close odt Reoopen No objects Open the odt archive and have a look at "content.xml" - there is no entry for any graphic object. ----------- If the rectangles are ungrouped they are visible after reopening the .doc (In reply to Peter from comment #5) > > However in 4.1.5 they show up but are not listed in the Navigation pane. This is a pretty old issue 17444
