Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 15203
Would like toolbar/s for backing Window when no document open
Last modified: 2005-02-11 14:48:18 UTC
Hi, I've suggested this on the users list and there appears to be support for it. If the empty window that is left when applications close could have a toolbar capability I think that would be good. Some people prefer toolbars over menus. It does not have to do that much. I personally would like a toolbar. If I could then customise this toolbar I could add buttons to run macros and that would be the start of a generic application environment. I'm not currently certain if it is possible to open up to this window without first opening another module. With customised toolbars it would be good to be able to just open to this point. Thanks Kelvin

thinking about it, I suppose this is a framework problem - the backing window is implemented there. Changing component/QA contact accordingly. Keeping issues@ui.openoffice.org on the CC list.
Starting the program with no blank document is good, but for those of us who take full advantage of toolbars, we want to be able to click New or New Using Template right at the beginning, not have to fiddle with File and all its children.
The Operaing system shold be "All", as this is a problem on Linux as well.
for a similar same reason I claim that Platform should be "All", too.
The toolbar of the backing window should also be customizable.
