Description jeffmart 2003-06-20 17:58:31 UTC
I found an error on Save/Open in AportsDoc format with OOO1.1beta2.
At the save process, OpenOffice (including Quick starter), simply closes
completly, without saving anithing. At the open an AportsDoc file (PDB)
process, there are a failure notice that soffice cause JVM.DLL error. And
aguai, a full close of OpenOffice.

I an usin WinME, Java 1.4.1, and OpenOffice only modyfied Lang/dict: PT_BR.

Anybody got it too?

MM: These filter bugs are not a priority for us right now.

JA: changing target to later. This issue currently has low priority
Comment 4 jeffmart 2003-11-04 16:24:49 UTC
This bug still occur in OOo.1.1/1.1RC... I hope to soon it get medium
priority level at least, since Aport/Palm format manipulation is a
strong feature in the "marketing iniciatives" of OOo...

Best regards!
Jeff

Hi,

are we talking about _"AportisDoc"_?
<http://framework.openoffice.org/files/documents/25/897/filter_description.html>

Reporter, please attach a document that causes those problems (1 will be enough
to get this issue NEW), even if the actual chances to get a solution in near
future are small.

All (and any) document that I tried use to *export* in Aportis format gave me
the same error: close OpenOffice (in any version!). Just it. I think there
aren't problems in documents. And the error do not produce, until where I
understood, an output or a log.
Please: Have you ever tried to export (on WinXX OS) and the error did not
occurs? Have you success?

Thanks!
Jeff

I tried to add the file to my 1.1.0 German version WIN98SE: 645m19(Build8693) by
the installation program, but that destroyed my OOo (what might be an other
issue). I was no longer able to open files by double click from the WIN Explorer
or from the WIN documents list. "Repair" did not really help, after that I
always get the filter list, but the file will not be opened. Opening a file with
"Open" from running OOo was without problems.

I tried again with 1.1.0 Danish version WIN98SE: 645(Build8693) and was able to
install the filter. I saved a WRITER document with some images and special
fonts. Export worked without crash, but when I reopened the .PDB, it looked
quite destroyed (I have no idea how it should look, pls see attached
screenshots. WFM with danish version?

I corrected subject.

This Issue requires more information ('needmoreinfo'), but has not been updated
within the last year. Please re-test with one of the latest versions of OOo -
the problem(s) may have already been addressed. Either use the recent stable
version: http://download.openoffice.org/index.html
or consider trying the new OOo 3 BETA (still in testing):
http://download.openoffice.org/3.0beta/

Please report back the outcome so this Issue may be closed or progressed as
