Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 17971
Add CSS support to HTML export.
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC
Problem: Chinese (and probably other non-English) auto numbering became Roman numerals after exporting to html or when saving in HTML Editor Where problem exists: Writer: RC2 HTML Editor: RC2 Should: Chinese (and probably other non-English) auto numbering's numbers should remain in Chinese (or its language in the document). This error seriously does not make sense in HTML Editor. Method: Use table (<--- for example) to format auto numberings instead of <ol></ol> for non-English auto numbering.
The latest release of OOo is 1.1rc3. Please upgrade and advise if this resolves your issue. If you still experience this problem after you upgrade, please attach the documents referenced in your issue to your report. Thanks, Tam
It still exists in RC3.
Created attachment 8642 [details] view in HTML editor (same for in Writer)
Created attachment 8644 [details] After saving as html
Created attachment 8645 [details] Re-attach the html file as text
Same problem exists on OOo 1.1.
SBA: Reassigned to Éric.
ES->FT: as discussed. CSS2 supports localized numbering. http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-CSS2/generate.html#lists Especially: hebrew | cjk-ideographic | hiragana | katakana | hiragana-iroha | katakana-iroha Though HTML has not the highest prio for OOo 2.0, we should consider this localization issue.
FT: This issue is not on our list of PCDs. And yes currently there are no plans to enhance our HTML filter. Feature request: Add CSS support to HTML export.
