Description woakesd 2003-08-15 22:04:52 UTC
I have a document with an embedded spreadsheet to make up an invoice. The
embedded spreadsheet has various line types used.

When i export as PDF, the result looks fine (regardless of whether optimised for
print, press or screen) when viewed in Adobe Acrobat 5.1.0 17/09/2002. When I
print to an OKI 14ex Laser printer all the horizontal .05pt lines do not appear.

Vertical lines of the same width are ok though pretty faint.

I have ghostscript setup to product pdf via redmon and this produces pdf files
which print perfectly.

Printing directly to the printer works but the thin lines are very faint.

Please provide a bugdoc with the belonging pdf file, Thanks.
Comment 2 capslock 2003-12-22 20:01:06 UTC
Did you intend to make your lines one-half of a point thick instead of
five-hundredths of a point thick? This could simply be an affect of the way your
printer handles sub-pixel lines.

Only a vague suspcect: might be related to (or DUP of) issue 23021? Reporter,
can you check that by reproducing issue 23021?

Without your document for furter tests there is no chance to get this issue NEW.

If I will not see any further action as votes, attachments or confirmations in
this issue, I will have to close this issue 2004-01-31 as WFM.

Comment 7 Rainer Bielefeld 2004-06-16 13:50:57 UTC
Now I can reproduce the Problem with
1.1.2RC3 (German) WIN XP: [645m44(Build8784]

I created the complete attached price list completely with OOo. In the PDF
(exported with best quality directly with OOo PDF export) all horizontal borders
are visible, but the printout with HP officejet 6110 does several horizontal
ones are missing:
- below headline
- over footer
- at top at bottom of table "Typenschlüssel für Mischer"

I will attach OOo- file, PDF and scan of printout.

I believe, now it's a little late for 2.0, so LATER! I believe it's for all OS,
someone should test that!

I also tried with OOo 1.1.0 from SUSE LINUX 9.0.: I opened the document
'PL2004_test2.sxw' (the document looked rather damaged, the 2 tables with prices
were empty) and exported it to PDF with OOo PDF export.

When I opened the PDF created from LINUX under WIN XP, it looked as expected
(like in OOo) with all horizontal borders, but in the printout the horizontal
boders at top and bottom of table "Typenschlüssel ..." (only!)were missing. I
will attach the LINUX-PDF!

Added 'issues@gsl' to CC.because this might be more relevant for gsl than Word
Processor.

Comment 17 philipp.lohmann 2004-06-22 19:08:16 UTC
pl->hi: On those two printouts there is no discernible difference.
