Tables in a MS word doc are split and inserted at random places in the OO
document.  This also affects the Win32 version of Staroffice 6 ( don't know
about 7).  I believe that the embedded tables came from excel.  I will attempt
to attach an affected file.

I Can Not Reproduce the problem in OpenOffice 1.1 Final,MS Office XP
Pro Sp2, Win Xp Pro.
Please explain in which page the table splitted ?

Thank you, Utomo, but the problem is the spaces in the file name -- a
bug in my browser that I haven't bothered to deal with yet.

The tables are placed in the same way as in WinWord. So there's no bug
in Writer's import filter.
