Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 20920
bad figure placement in Word document
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:41:36 UTC
I got this document prepared using Microsoft Word, and the figures are badly placed. In the example I will attach, if I can figure out how, the word processor has managed to split the figure over two pages. Richard.
Created attachment 10135 [details] Word document with badly placed figure
I can Reproduce the problem on OpenOffice 1.1 (default Install, US), Win XP Pro Sp1. (And MS Office XP Sp2). It is real problem when we open the doc in OOo look at page 3, or page 2/3 in OOo. Figure 1: On Demand Web service environment the figure is misplaced.
set target to OOo2.o reassigned to mru
MRU->CMC: The drawing group is "in line with text", but after import it is anchored to paragraph (with "wrapping through"). When anchoring the group manually "as character" after import, everything looks fine.
Yes, same as issue 17086, done in kilkennyfilterteam14 for 2.0 *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 17086 ***

Yeah, it's the same problem and also fixed in OO 2.0.
Great. So how do I get OO 2.0? Richard.
The first milestone of OO 2.0 might be released beginning of next year, I guess. But this hasn't been scheduled yet by the staff.
