Description dbertolo 2003-10-15 12:39:20 UTC
It would be nice to insert an enumeration behind (meaning at the right side) text. This is
possible by inserting a table with two columns, but there is actually the old
page-break-inside-a-cell issue... Here an example of what I mean

Keyword	- Text-Item
		- Text-Item
		- Text-Item

Just to make sure I understood you right. Is it this what you want to achieve:

text 1.
text 2.
text 3.
etc
Comment 3 dbertolo 2004-02-12 12:40:09 UTC
yes, you are right. but after the enumeration, there should be a paragraph
again:

text	1. text (multiple lines...)
text	2. text (multiple lines...)

and i do not only mean enumeration, but also bullets.

It is possible already to preceed a number by text. But this text would be the
same with all numbers within a numbered or bulleted list, i.e.

this is my number 1 text text text text
                    text text text ...
this is my number 2 text text text text
                    text text text ...
etc.

but not

this is my number one 1 text text text text
                        text text text ...
this is my number two 2 text text text text
                        text text text ...
etc.

Would that meet your needs?

no, here is an example of a protocol of a meeting:

Attendees	- Name Surname
		- Name Surname
		- Name Surname

Topics - Topic 1
		- Topic 2

we used to use tables. but sometimes there are very long texts and there is
actually the problem with breaking cells at the end of the page. if the new
table design in OOo 2.0 will feature breaking cells, there will be no need
anymore to have enumerations behind a text.

Confirmed now.

or consider trying the new OOo 3 BETA (still in testing):
