So it is!

First: I also see 2 small problems when I open "formatting problemr.doc" with
WORD2000 and selected printer HP895Cxi:

1. Frame on top of first page too small, text "Jacksonville Beach, Fl " not
   visible

2. Page 9 empty

Result when I open with OOo : disastrous ;-)
11. All frames and images are moved from their old locations
12. Special Characters ">" in Frames with text "Worship, Discipleship ..."
    are shown only as rectangles
13. On page 2 Frame with text "Worship, Discipleship ..." covers text at the
    top of the page
14. Border for the graphic "Cross: Warship, Community, ..." is handled
different from the way as it is done in WORD:
WORD: Text respects the border of the complete image
OOo: Text respects contours of the line drawing in the image.
15. Page 3: special effect of disarranged frames: Frame
"Worship, Discipleship ..." covers frame "Junior/Senior Pool Party"
(same effect I also see with other frames)
16. Page 7, image "Man with cane": same effect like '14.'

Hi utomo,
your document contains several good examples for still existing problems with
import of WORD documents. But all this only can be helpful if you check for all
different problems I listed (and may be several other ones I did not find during
my "quick review":
- Problem already known? Then your example might be helpful for tests
- not known: new issue for each single problem.

_Very_ helpful could be, if you can figure out, what special formatting in your
WORD document causes the problem. May be if you use different anchors for the
images in the WORD document (or something like that, I do not have much
knowledge in WORD), the problem disappears, and developers can concentrate their
efforts to those well secificated details.

Process of improving OOo will be accelerated very much if you can do these
furthe work. I do not believe that developers will handle this bug report as it
is, because there are too many different (and most, as I think, well known) bugs
 affected in this issue.

utomo > raineer:
I dont know about formatting used or more info about that doc.
I got somewhere.
I think developer or Sun QA will analize that doc further.

If OOo user facing this various problem they will feel bad.
Hope we can improve it little bit before OOo 2.0.

There's a little difference between Word and OO Writer. Writer does not allow a
table header tobe alone on a page (because it does not really make sense; it is
going to be repeated at the beginning of the next page). Word does allow this
(maybe just to fill white space?!?!?).
I do not think, that it is necessary to have a special "compatibility mode" for
this in OO Writer, just to copy Word's behaviour here. And it does not have any
affect on the document's structure, so in my opinion, we can close the issue as
WONTFIX, because I think, Writer's behaviour indeed makes more sense.

Utomo > mru & rainerbielefeld :
I dont think it is good to close this issue as wontfix. we will have user who
use this features and got this problems. please consider again.
or maybe we need to create one by one for each issue ?
Thanks

No, I don't think that we should waste any development resources for emulating
any stupid behaviour which seems to be bugs in MS Word.
