Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 27374
incorrectly interpreted "track changes" information in msword document
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:25:51 UTC
in attached msword document there are changes done with track changes feature. some of them are displayed incorrectly in oo.org. i'm not sure if this is connected to other issues with track changes, but these are very bizarre. in point 1.1 (or 1.2, as it is incorrectly displayed in oo.org; issue 27373), according to word 10/2002, there is some text that has been deleted at the end of the second sentence. oo.org shows first word of this deleted part as deleted, but then some nonexistant words as not deleted. they seem to be formed by adding two word endings and forming one word, then comma and one normal word, then beginning from one word and ending from another. then, in point 1.3 (or 1.4, as in oo.org 1.1.1) there is some deleted text, but oo.org shows one letter of this text as inserted, not deleted.

MRU->MM: There seem to be some kind of "invalid" Redlines in the document. These are made by a user "Unknown" without a change date. Even Word 2000 isn't able to handle this doc correctly (displays wrong and loops after a while); Word 2003 can open it and displays all the odd Redlines. I think this is also the reason why we get loads of Redlining assertions after import.
