Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 27435
problem importing PocketWord psw file
Last modified: 2013-09-08 04:59:11 UTC
Hello, Importing PocketWord files does not work for me. I have a HP IPAQ h1915 with WindowsCE 3.0. I have no idea how to see what version my PocketWord is, anyway, it is the version which comes by default with that version of WinCE. I am currently debugging the java sources of the PocketWord import module by I can't really advance as I couldn't find any documentation about the pwi format. Here is the stacktrace I get: bash-2.05b$ ~/OpenOffice.org1.1.1/soffice java.util.NoSuchElementException: Vector Enumeration at java.util.Vector$1.nextElement(Vector.java:307) at org.openoffice.xmerge.converter.xml.sxw.pocketword.DocumentDeserializerImpl.buildDocument(Unknown Source) at org.openoffice.xmerge.converter.xml.sxw.pocketword.DocumentDeserializerImpl.deserialize(Unknown Source) at org.openoffice.xmerge.Convert.convert(Unknown Source) at XMergeBridge$_XMergeBridge.convert(XMergeBridge.java:619) at XMergeBridge$_XMergeBridge.importer(XMergeBridge.java:258) Error:org.openoffice.xmerge.ConvertException: Error building OpenOffice Writer DOM: java.util.NoSuchElementException: Vector Enumeration XMergeBridge IO Exception Xmerge Exception I would so much appreciate some direction on this one. Thanks, Adrian.

Oliver, it's your turn.
Hi Martin, maybe a duplicate to i17978. Please have a look.
Hello again, if nobody has the time to deal with this at this point, I think I might try it myself. In order to not reinvent the wheel, however, I could use all the help I can get in what concerns the PocketWord format documentation. Thanks.
MM: Reassigning to MRU so it can be re-targetted to Office Later
mm: reassigning
New target "OO later".
reassigned to MM with new target.

Hello, I think Issue 17978 is not a duplicate to this Issue. The bugs, submittet with Issue 17978 are problems with the german vowel mutation (ä,ü,ö and ß). There is no problem to transfer the *.psw-file to the PocketPC. The problem is that no german vowel mutation was displayed (on the desktop and the PocketPC).
mmaher->flr: Yours I think
I testet the german vowel mutation again under OOo1.9m98. No change. The problem is always there. I put an example-file to this issue.

is this issue still exist on OOo 2.X ? Ooo 2.0.4 already exist and available to download at www.openoffice.org or http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.4/index.html If Not exist anymore, Maybe we should close this issue as WFM ?
I don't think we should close that Issue. In the actual OOo-Version the problem with the german vowel mutation is always present. I didn't heard about work on that problem. So I think it will not be fixed in any later dev-build. So for me the Issue shouldn't not be closed. For me and german users it didn't work.
Flr, can you please give better target, instead of OOo later since 2004 please ? (almost 3 Years) This will make user feel bad about this. Thanks
This is not functioning in 2.4. (m6) not functioning is Export -- german vowels (resp. full 16-codepage-support) -- tables within psw Import -- is blank from psw (from PPC 2002/win3.0) -- is blank from psw (local from OOO itself only) this is at least a regression to the filter-component Martin (here: PC w2k - oo680H_m6 - ActSyn 4.2 PDA HP3760)

The issue continues with Pocket Notes PWI files from Windows Mobile 6.5, on attempted open by OpenOffice 4.0.0. On simply attempting to open a PWI file with only text contents (no ink or audio), I get a response: Title: OpenOffice 4.0.0 General Error. General input/output error. Since I was getting a similar response in 3.3.0, I uninstalled it and installed 4.0.0, with all options enabled, including the mobile convertors. Interesting that a ticket for a confirmed bug needs to sit idle for 4 1/2 years before it gets reassigned...
