Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 27546
Graphics bar left visible when leaving edit mode
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:25:56 UTC
1. Edit a document 2. Select a graphics object 3. Leave edit mode The graphics bar should disappear. Instead, the graphics bar is left visible with the controls enabled, however all changes revert back to their original values after a short timeout. Clicking on text or something the graphics bar disappears and doesn't come back when selecting a graphics object again, as expected.
I can confirm that the graphics-toolbar is left, but on my system all controls are disable, I cannot change anything. And I can only reproduce it when I didn't make any changes to the document. When I change something and switch to read-only mode the dialog asking whether I want to save or discard comes up. After answering that dialog (no matter whether I choose Save or Discard), the bar disappers. I can confirm the last part (it disappears as well when I klick beneath the graphic in readonly-mode and doesn't come back unless I follow the procedure a second time) So please give more details on your system (OS, localized version of OOo,...) in order to help recreate the problem.
System: RH9, openoffice.org 1.1.0-32 RPM (ooo-build 1.1.51, ooo-icons-OO_1_1-8) Sorry, that should've been: 1. Open a document (for reading) Guess it happens only when there are no changes. I can still change the controls with keyboard or mouse, but they quickly revert back to original values.
MRU->OS: it is a bit inconsistent. When selecting a graphic in read-only mode, no object bar appears. When read-only mode is entered with selected grapic, the graphic bar remains, though disabled. This does not look good, so this should also be suppressed.
The solution suggested by MRU doesn't address the original problem (changes to the values possible) - but since I failed to reproduce I think this is a red-hat specific problem. Anyway - removing needmoreinfo keyword.
