Description mcr 2004-04-13 19:11:19 UTC
the file was created with OO and saved.

OO couldn't open it. A copy of 1.1.1 also couldn't open it.
The process grew to 52M in size and consumed 95% of CPU for ten minutes, then
I kill -9'ed it. This is repeatable.

We reverted to a previous revision of the file (the files are in CVS. I wish
that the flat-file import/export was a standard component so using CVS was
easier. We
could also have told you via "cvs diff" what change in the file caused the problem)

We then made the edits again, since they were in response to a review. The edits
 entailed creating a second frame for the upper-left frame on the second page to
overflow into. Upon doing that, OO seemed to freeze.

We made the edits again, slower, and didn't link the frames, and all was well.
We made the edits the third time by unzip'ing the file, pulling the content.xml
file into Xemacs, and cutting & pasting the changes in the base text.
Thank got for that part.

MRU->ES: please have a look.
Comment 3 eric.savary 2004-05-21 17:43:09 UTC
Reproducible in OOo 1.1.1 but not anymore in a developper build >= 680m37.
Please check this in a current build

Comment 6 andreschnabel 2004-10-02 19:08:58 UTC
This issue still exists in 1.1.3rc.
The doc freezes my OOo 1.1.3rc on windows (setting OS to ALL) and has been
verified for OOo 1.1.3 on Linux at the QA-List.
Comment 7 peschtra 2004-10-02 19:19:33 UTC
I verified the issue existed in 1.1.2 on Win XP.

However, when I open the file with 1.9.54 in Win XP it opens fine.
Comment 8 Martin Hollmichel 2004-10-04 10:32:47 UTC
no stopper for 1.1.3 since this is no regression
Comment 9 eric.savary 2004-10-04 15:53:56 UTC
It's too late for 1.1.4. It's not a showstopper or a regression.
Reassigning to DEV for evaluation.
Comment 10 eric.savary 2004-10-04 15:59:46 UTC
ES->OD: please evaluate if it's worth a 1.1.5. (not a regression)
I correct my first statement about the current status: no freeze in a current
version when loading the document but when scrolling up/down (page 2) I get a crash.
