Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 30116
Uppercase/Lowercase conversion of text results in extra character(s) with UNDO deleting some characters
Last modified: 2004-06-25 15:01:06 UTC
In the Presentation application, a text box is created and with the following line of text entered into that text box: abcdefgh.ijlkm1234nopqrst ACTION: selected text characters “d†through “2†ACTION: Menu command: Format > Case/Characters > Upper Case RESULT: Line within the text box was changed and appeared as: abcDEFGH.IJKLM12234nopqrst with characters “D†through “4†selected or highlighted in the result. Note the additional "2" that has appeared as well. A character (the "2") was added and additional characters (to the right of the original selected text) were selected in the result. ACTION: Menu command: Edit > Undo resulting line was abcDEFGH.IJKLM12nopqrst with no text selected and the insertion point blinking between the “2†and the “nâ€. Three characters (“234†before the “nâ€) were observed to have been deleted as a result of the Undo.
Added oooqa keyword. I will verify this in the next day or so. Thanks for the detailed report. FYI, there was a similar problem reported a while back. I will check to see if your problem has been fixed in a later version of OOo. <http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=17823>
One for me!
I can reproduce the bug in the mentioned version. The bug doesn't occures in OOo 1.1.2 or in the latest developer build. Therefore I change the resolution to invalid.
I close the issue
