Best way to maintain multiple output formats

I think framework is the right place, but maybe api? This idea came out of a thread on the the discussion list: > I really like this idea. Just some comments: I see no problem to implement this, but I wouldn't overestimate the benefit. It does not really help for collaboration, because it's a one-way feature: if the "other" application you're trying to collaborate with doesn't provide you with the same formats, you can't work together. It makes it just a little bit easier to give others a copy of your work.

Opps sorry, wrong issue. Ignore that file.
Add "Save as copy" to the "File" menu. This entry allows the user to save a file in a different output format (e.g. a writer doc into HTML) but leave the current (open) document format intact.

save as copy is standard stuff, I think is good. But the real innovation is automatic publishing aspect, particularily pdf's.
To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements".
