Description markusf 2004-10-19 07:23:04 UTC
Menus with submenus aren't handled correct by JAWS via the JAVA AccessBridge.
All mainmenus ("File", ... (in german "Datei",...)) are read via speech out but
not shown in the braille line.
Menus who have submenus (like "Autopilot" in "File" or all menus with submenus
("Groß-/Kleinschreibung", "Vorlagen","Autoformat" in german) in "Format",
aren't read via speech out or shown at the braille line.
Menus who haven't any submenu are shown correctly in the braile line and read
via speech out.

Reassigned to ES.

I have seen that the last entry was in October and that this issue is OOo-1.1.3 related ... :(
Have you tried this with a newer version of OOo like 1.1.4 or some OOo-1.9.xx builds? And I
seem to remember that JAWS in combination with OOo depends on the used JAVA version ...
Which one are you using?

I have not seen an answer to my question/wish since midth of May, so I close this issue as invalid.
If you can give me information or this problem also occurs in a newer version of OOo you could
reopen it again ... ;)

Reopening - let's have an accessibility person have a look, please.
I could probably confirm this bug given what I've heard.
Adding accessibility keyword.

The submenus are correctly read "submenu" by JAWS 6.00.

->dankegel: please don't reopen issues that have been closed because of lack of
information unless YOU can provide this information.
Thank you!
