Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 37445
Word Document: Frames not correctly imported
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:25:40 UTC
If I open http://www.esrf.fr/UsersAndScience/UserGuide/Preparing/Documents/user_form_w6.doc in OpenOffice 1.9.60/Linux, the following can be observed: a)The ESRF logo is on the left instead of on the right b) the frames at the bottom have a shadow, in word the have not c) The frames at the bottom have exactly same length in Word, but not in OO
Confirmed on m60_m62. Also confirmed on OOo1.1.3, same behavior on both versions. This does look like yet another convert issue. Reassigning to owner of selected subcomponent confirming issue. I am also attaching a copy of the said document, just incase the URL link goes down.
Created attachment 19539 [details] Document used to illustate import issue.
I'll split up this issue here, because there a different problems in. MRU->MMAHER: problem a (wrong position of graphic) and b (erroneously shadow in paragraph format) are WinWord6/95 filter related. They do not occur when the document is saved in WW8 or newer by Word. A good thing to fix for post-OO2.o era. Problem c) seems to be a general problem related to tabstop compatibility between Word an OO Writer. I'll set up a new issue for this.
New task regarding tabstop problem can be found as issue 37770.
