Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 38736
crash when trying to modify paragraph style
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:41:36 UTC
I have several paragraph styles which I use to format the document. A bunch of them are heading styles 1 -> 10 for outline numbering. In the style catalogue (from pressing F11), right click Heading 2 and choose modify. The Font tab is automatically chosen in the following screen. When clicking on Indents and Spacing, OO saves the document and exists, giving a stack trace. This is attached. The document that causes this problem is also attached.
Created attachment 20313 [details] stack trace
Just to add a note, it's not until doing an action after clicking on the Indents tab. Something like clicking of, or changing the font.
>> The document that causes this problem is also attached. It was not uploaded to Issuezilla, maybe you just forgot it. Please be so kind and attach it to this issue. Thanks, Max
issue looks vaguely similar to issue 38722
It's a corporate doco (even though I've removed the content - crash still happens with it), so I'd prefer to email the document to the interested parties direct rather that attach to bug. Who can I email it to?

Please try again using the official version (not the debian one). issue 34663 reports problem with debian version that disappeared when reinstalling. issue 38722 is about the debian version as well. Please report bugs in the debian-version to the debian maintainers.
Downloading the latest snapshot fixes this problem - although the Ariel font looks a bit crusty in this version. It also seems a bit faster. I see this is already open as a debian bug: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=284096 Is there a patch id in the oo source that can be appended to the debian bug tracker that fixed this problem?
Maybe downloading the newes patch OO 1.1.4 fixes the problem on your Debian system.
Closed.
