Embedded item Icon Display reverting to full item display.

I created a 'test.xls' file In Win XP. Also i inserted an object word documnet 'Display as icon option' on the same test.xls file. Then i opened the test.xls file in oo.o 1.9.62 calc. Double clicking,the 'word document' icon is opening but after that its not showing the Icon. Instead of icon its displaying the whole text Steps for reproducing 1. Open a test.xls file 2. Go to Insert->object 3. Tic 'display as icon' option 4. Select microsoft word document and enter some data on the same document 5. Save the file 6. Open the test.xls file 1.9.62 calc 7. Open the inserted word document by double clicking and see the behaviour
Unofortunatly, I don't have access to a machine with OOo installed right now, Reporter: Firstly, can you attach this test.xls file to this issue. Second, what version of Microsoft Office are you runing? Finally, does this issue still appear in OOo 680m65 (you are reporting it on 680m62). Oh, and is this really a priority 2? " This priority describes major bugs. Examples: - Crashes in basic functionality - Freezes in basic functionality - Data loss - Functional area gets lost (i.e. printing) - Basic functionality is not working correctly Issues with this priority must be fixed before release. One other thing, Does this ONLY happen when embedded in a spreadsheet, or does it happen when you embed a word document in, say, a word document, or a spreadsheet in a word document/spreadsheet? If it does then this is a framework issue and needs to be reassigned. Thanks again, Alex

--Attached the 'test.xls' --I am using MS excel 2002(10.2614.2625) --Issue is existing in m65 also --Priority is normal ( i am unable to change the priority, How i will get the permission for that) --This is happening for embded a word document also
changed to m65, and P3. Ahh, I see. Once opened it continues to display text in the space of the icon. I take "embded a word document also" to mean that this happens when you embed an MS Word document in to OOo Writer, as well as it happening when you embed an MS Word document into OOo Calc. Therfore I am re-assigning this to framework CONFIRMING. Also attaching screenshots. P.S. Abdul, I think I have seen you apply for the privalages you mentioned on the QA-Dev mailing list, If no one responds in a while, write another E-Mail, staing your Openoffice username ('abdul') and requesting 'canconfirm' privalages. Hi abdul, thanks for using and supporting OpenOfifce.org.... and sorry for delay... I opened your file here on Solaris using m121 and the result looks pretty much like the screenshot "BEFORE.PNG"... I think this is fixed and we can close this issue now... Feel free to reopen this issue if this problem occurs again in our newest version available (m118 or newer, would be good to wait until m121 or newer is released...) I'm setting this issue to "fixed"
