Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 39249
Enabling CTL support does not add text direction buttons to the toolbar
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:41:36 UTC
Up until now (from 1.1.0 until m62), enabling CTL support in the prefrences automaticly added the RTL/LTR buttons to the toolbar, which are needed when editing CTL text. However, after a clean install of M65, this behavier dissapeared, leaving the user the extra configuration step of adding those buttons manully. As having CTL enabled without these buttons isn't usefull at all, I don't see the sense of removing this little configuration help (if it was intentional).
SBA->CJ: Neither Toolbar_content_spec-1.sxw not Toolbar_content_spec-2.sxw mention toolbar sensitivity related to "CTL enabled" settings. I talked to OS and he rightfully insists that he can make changes only if they are specified. At times, the above mentioned specs are the latest concerning the Writer main toolbar So it is a (regression) defect in the spec. I agreed with FT that these buttons must be back. Please contact him for further details especially what toolbars are affected (Writer, Calc, HTML, Impress+Draw Text input,...).
cj -> sba: Falko sent me a pointer to the specifications where the intended behaviour is described. I'll attach the specs.
