Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 39264
Formula should be vertically alignable by selecting a character
Last modified: 2010-11-10 16:08:18 UTC
Example: When writing a fraction, where the numerator is again a fraction, the equal-sign will not be at the same level as the text left and right of the formula. (see screenshot.png) It would be adequate to select a character (in this case: the "=") and tell the formula to align itself vertically so that the selected character matches the level of the characters of the surrounding text. gisbert

MRU->TL: befor this is reassigned to "requirements... do you know a possibility how to align this vertically centered to the equal sign?
TL: request for enhancement. Passing on to respective account.
I think it would be better and natural with the #972 issue. (Correct alignment on the baseline). This 'natural' position should be the default one. Indeed, this alignment is correct inside the formula editor, so it's could be possible to get line level from Math to Writer...
No improvement in Beta 1.9.79
