Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 40435
lost extended tooltips on statusbar (all in english version, some in german version)
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:41:36 UTC
To reproduce: Start OOo writer. Activate Help|What's this (or press <ctrl>+<F1) Hover over the items in the statusbar -> no tips are shown. Change interface language to german and restart -> some (two) tooltips are shown. but compared to OOo the tooltips for page template, insert/overwrite, selection mode, document changed, hyperlink mode, infofield are lost. The only tooltips shown are the ones for page indicator and zoom. Thus it is a regression.
regression keyword. Don't mix up with issue 2425 (standard tooltips)
reassigned to HI.
At the beginnning the tips are ok. After you press Ctrl+F1, the tip help will be disabled although it is still enabled under tools - options - general. What's this doesn't work and the entry for Ctrl+F1 is empty when you you look at Tools - Customize - Keyboard.
Ahh, sorry - I meant <shift>+<F1> but I can reproduce all the tips (even the regular ones disappearing when <ctrl>+<F1> is pressed. But no mutating issues -> I filed issue 40709 for that (and assigned to pb) The issue here has nothing to do with the tips being disabled. Compared to OOo 1.1.x the extended tips for the status bar are (partially) lost.
pb -> cd: please takeover. The statusbar only provides helpids to get help text, but our help changed to get help for command urls.
.
CD: Fixed, status bar now uses also the command to retrieve extended help.
CD: Reopened to be verified by QA.
cd->tm: Please verify.
ATR: verified in cws cd04, fixed.
ATR: checkied again in masterbuild m75, fixed.
