Last modified: 2008-05-17 23:45:24 UTC
Upgraded OS and lost key. Here is new one.
Created attachment 21868 [details] ssh key for grsiingleton
Hi Gerry: Sorry to hear this. Support, please ask ops to upload this key; please rush it, if you can. Thanks! Louis
Support, would you please update the priority on this particular issue? The project owner is seriously inconvenienced by not having commit access. Thanks! Louis
I have filed a internal issue pcn 34405 for the operations to upload the key as soon as possible. Jobin.
This key has been uploaded , closing the issue . Jobin.
gerry, feel free to reopen if the key doesn't do it for you. louis
Having problems. Tunnel get established using: /usr/bin/ssh -2 -x -L 2401:localhost:2401 tunnel@openoffice.org as one would expect. However, executing cvs -d :pserver:grsingleton@localhost:/cvs login presents me with a request for my OOo password which I enter. If the literature is correct this allows me to use the local respository as if it were at openoffice.org. I have tried to cvs add two files to the repository and get the following error: cvs add SetupOptions.* cvs [server aborted]: "add" requires write access to the repository Please help.
Still no access and no response from support. Up the priority as this is critical.
lowering priority--p1 is reserved for very few things and is usually only allowed to Sun to file. do keep in mind that support works 5 days a week. as to the problems described. Tunnel is established; good. then this is a cvs issue. to what directory are you trying to add files? I can check your permissions easily enough. Louis
Please check cvs documentation repository all. e.g http://documentation.openoffice.org/source/browse/documentation/ the support directory. I do not need access to website at the moment but will likely need it later (not really certain I ever had access to website but I think I did) I re-opened Fri Jan 28 13:14:37 PST so there was approximately 4 hours in which any response could have been made and another 5 hours today. As to priority, this is a P1 to me. Now
I just checked your permissions on Documentation project: you are still project owner, meaning you have access to all directories in documentation/* . that is, you have checkin and checkout privileges to documentation/www/* . As your cvsroot seems okay, and you are using the right name, and obviously can log in to file an issue (same password), my next guess is to check the path that you are using. That is, it must be of the form, documentation/www/[directory] That probably doesn't help, of course.... This is still in Support's queue, and they will handle it as soon as they can. Louis
One more comment: user grsingleton has of course committed many files successfully to the repository. Hence, it is doubtful he is making errors :-) in the process. Support, any ideas? louis
Whatever has been done at support is working. Thanks. One thing I did that may have helped was to rid myself of KDE on the desktop and replaced it with Gnome. In any case everything works.
Grsingleton, Don't think we did anything regarding permissions. So most likely it is the environment at your end. I was able to add & commit a file in the documentaion repo. I will remove that since it is working for you. Thanks
