Description richlv 2005-04-07 11:57:41 UTC
when i sumiltaneously open several documents (starting from 2), sometimes oo.org
crashes.

as this happens only ~70% if time and these documents are confidential (doh),
i'm not attaching them here (but i could send them upon requiest).

i'm attaching error report and strace of soffice process, though

i treid around 10 times to open between 2 and 6 files at once.
no crash any time.
OO 1.9.95 on linux FC3
Comment 5 michael.ruess 2005-04-22 07:32:19 UTC
I am also not able to reproduce it. I tried with m93 and m95 either on Windows
and on Linux.
Comment 6 michael.ruess 2005-04-22 07:34:29 UTC
Closed.
Comment 7 richlv 2005-04-22 12:57:19 UTC
i can still reproduce with 1.9.95 (actually, always when i open particular 4
documents simultaneously).

mru, didn't opening those docs (all four) i sent you produce a crash ?

also i added error report and strace output - in case this would be hard to
reproduce. doesn't that give some clues ?

btw, i just reproduced this on another machine with 1.9.93 - so at least that's
not a hardware problem :)
Comment 8 michael.ruess 2005-04-22 13:18:53 UTC
Yes, I tried with the files you have sent.
Maybe we can see something more, when you have sent a crah report via the OO
recovery tool. Please enter your OO mail address in the frontend, so that we can
find the report in our database.
Comment 9 richlv 2005-04-22 13:29:30 UTC
ok, just did that. mentioned issue number and my email address.
Comment 10 flibby05 2005-04-30 17:53:24 UTC
set to NEW,
oooqa cannot help anymore with this issue
Comment 11 michael.ruess 2005-05-02 11:00:41 UTC
i cannot find any report when searching for string "richlv" in our database.
Which eMail adress did you enter in the report frontend?
Comment 12 richlv 2005-05-02 11:09:16 UTC
oh, i entered my real email address.
it also should be possible to find it by searching for "issue 46930" in
description, but if that doesn't help, try rich-at-hq.vsaa.lv
Comment 13 michael.ruess 2005-05-02 11:26:23 UTC
MRU->FLR: Though I am not able to reproduce the problem, could you please have a
look, if the report is somehow meaningful to you? The ID of the mentioned report
is 46553. Thanks a lot!
Comment 14 michael.ruess 2005-05-02 13:23:06 UTC
MRU->FLR: ...eeeehm, better try report id 465537. Didn't copy the full string
above...

Considering the effort, the priority, the risk and our resource planning I've to
retarget this issue to OOo Later.
Comment 16 Mathias_Bauer 2006-08-30 14:47:40 UTC
This one should be fixed at least in OOo2.0.3. Please test it in this version.
Comment 17 Mathias_Bauer 2006-08-30 14:49:37 UTC
I reassign this to the submitter as fls is no longer working on OOo
Comment 18 richlv 2006-08-30 16:05:58 UTC
i was really surprised when i found the original files, even though i had long
forgotten what they were :)

tried opening them a lot of times with m180, could not reproduce a crash once.
Comment 19 lohmaier 2006-08-31 12:39:43 UTC
fix confirmed by reporter → closing.
