Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 48904
Cell Background Color Pallet
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:44:50 UTC
Originally filed at NeoJ Bugzilla, I'm told this is where I should report this. Re-sizing the spreadsheet background color window enlarges the color samples, but enlarging the window showed the last two rows of colors instead. People who don't know you can swap colors can get really frustrated if they continuously have to scroll down to get the color they want. Of course, if you could enlarge the window to show all the colors, and still allow re-sizing to enlarge them, that would be a bonus.
Added oooqa keyword. I'm not clear on your terminology for "resize" and "enlarge" the background color window - I'm using OOo 1.1.4 with Apple's X11.app on Mac OS X 10.3.x, and all I can seem to do is "resize" the background color window. When I "resize" the background color window, I do see that the last 2 rows of colors are not visible, and must be scrolled into view, regardless of the size of the background color window/color samples. I also saw some horrible drawing problems while resizing. Someone needs to check if this behavior is the same on other platforms. I didn't find any existing bug report on this subject.
Hi Joerg, please have a look at this one. Thanks Frank
In OOo 2.0 this problem does not exist anymore. It means the scrollbar at the right side from the background color dialog never goes away - also resizing the dialog does not help. As I have written obsolete because in 2.0 everything looks fine.
Hi Christian, making the undocked background color window smaller so the 'no fill' line becomes invisible, all color selection squares get lost. I think we should have at least a minimum size for this window. Please have a look at this Issue, it may be seen as a defect. Frank
